  • I just acquired an awesome collection of antique tobacco tins. They make me wish that I still smoked. Some still have the tobacco (very stale) inside. At least I can still enjoy the great graphics. I will be bringing some to the flea this weekend at One Hanson.

  • What time is it?
Time to come out to the flea at One Hanson. Find me and a whole bunch of ticking clocks in space 40 all weekend.

  • I have been missing the flea these past few weeks. Can't wait to get back with some new targets. I spotted this photo recently on the always inspiring remodelista blog. See you next weekend at One Hanson.

  • This dapper 1960s hunting man is so "Mad Men" on the weekends (dressed by Sears & Roebuck.) This vintage lithograph is 14"x18" and was produced in Philadelphia by the Weiller Company. Perfect for your city or country lodge. I will have it up for sale on my etsy page soon.

  • Antler Apron Rack
I have been doing some kitchen renovations. Here is a fun and practical way to keep your aprons and tea towels close at hand. I will have vintage aprons, linens and perhaps a rack of antlers or two for sale at the flea in January.

  • Vintage Xmas Treasure Trove!
I have been hoarding vintage xmas items all year long and I am bringing them out this weekend to the indoor Dumbo flea. These estate sale treasures could be your new family heirlooms. I will have lots of boxed ornaments, xmas hankies and wonderful vintage holiday cards that you can recycle and regift.

  • Vintage Turkey Shooting Target

The perfect gift for your Thanksgiving host or hostess!

  • If you need a bucket for your home rendered lard....

I will have several to chose from at Brooklyn Bridge Park tomorrow. There really is nothing like rendering your own lard for your Thanksgiving pie crusts. Not sure you would need several gallons, but the buckets look great.

  • Spotted: Steampunk DIY Dog House

While scouring a country flea this past weekend, I spotted this great dog/pet house made from an old steamer trunk. Thought it was a brilliant idea. These trunks are relatively inexpensive and easy to come by. In fact, I have several lying around....if I only had a dog....

  • Too Cool For School!

I have some nifty schoolhouse items that were just screaming out to be photographed together. I will be bringing these items along with some other great pull-down maps to the Brooklyn Bridge Flea on 11/15.

  • Fascinating Antique Anatomical Illustrations

While perusing the NYTImes Home section a few weeks ago, I admired the Catskills farmhouse and collections of artist and antique shop owner Sean Scherer. In this photo, taken from the NYTimes site, you can see a framed illustration (at the the top) of the head, skull and brains. I have some very similar lift-the-flap anatomical illustrations culled from 100 year old medical textbooks. I will be bringing them to the flea over the next few weeks. They can be dismantled and matted as you see in the photo. I have several different ones to choose ...
